An Evening with a Cause
Welcome to the 5th Annual Riordan Wine Gala Fundraiser! The Gala is an annual charity event that directly benefits the Riordan Scholars Program, which supports college-bound high school students interested in learning more about business and developing leadership skills. We invite you and your friends to join us for an evening with a purpose filled with wine tasting, lively music, interactive entertainment, and a silent auction. All proceeds from the event will go to the Riordan Scholars Program.
Wine Tasting
The Riordan Wine Gala features a variety of wines from a multitude of regions providing guests with the opportunity to expand their palettes.
Silent Auction
The Silent Auction features a variety of items and packages generously donated by supporting businesses. Guests have the opportunity to bid on these items based on the highest bidding amount. Auction items will be revealed by March 2010, and all proceeds benefit the Riordan Scholars Program.

Honoring the achievements of:
Morenike "Nike" Irvin
Combining over twenty years of leadership in the nonprofit and corporate sectors, Nike Irvin has recently launched her consulting practice, Consulting by Nike Irvin, which serves charitable foundations and nonprofit organizations. Nike was appointed by former Los Angeles Mayor Richard Riordan to the presidency of The Riordan Foundation in 2000 where she directed grants for early literacy and youth leadership through partnerships with other grant making organizations including Weingart Foundation, Ralph M. Parsons Foundation, Conrad N. Hilton Foundation, Ella Fitzgerald Charitable Foundation, and Annenberg Foundation. Nike currently serves as a trustee of The Riordan Foundation, The Riordan Programs at UCLA Anderson, and The German Marshall Fund of the United States. During her corporate years, Nike managed brands at Pepsi Cola and Nestle USA. She is an active volunteer for her alma maters: Yale, UCLA Anderson School of Management, and Choate Rosemary Hall.
Jeffrey D. Kabot
Mr. Kabot is a co-founder of MezzCap Partners, LLC which provides mezzanine capital to middle market companies. Prior to co-founding MezzCap Partners, Mr. Kabot served as a Director with Levine Leichtman Capital Partners, a $1 billion private equity fund that makes subordinated debt and equity investments in middle market companies.
Prior to joining LLCP, he was a Senior Vice President, Director of Private Placements, at Sutro & Co., originating structuring and marketing private offerings of debt and equity securities. Prior to joining Sutro, Mr. Kabot was with Dabney/Resnick where he specialized in middle market private placements for acquisitions and recapitalizations. Prior to joining Dabney/Resnick in 1992, Mr. Kabot was with Drexel Burnham Lambert, where he participated in equity and debt offerings, mergers and acquisitions, and restructuring transactions. He continued with Drexel throughout its reorganization process as part of the work out team managing Drexel's $3 billion high yield bond inventory.
Mr. Kabot received his M.B.A. from the Anderson Graduate School of Management at UCLA, and a B.S. in Economics, magna cum laude, from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania . From 1999 to 2004, Mr. Kabot served on the Environmental Affairs Commission for the City of Los Angeles Mr. Kabot also sits on the advisory board of the Riordan Programs at UCLA.
Beverly Hills Country Club

Founded in 1926, the Beverly Hills Country Club was established by the late Elmer Griffin. The Club was established as a convenient location between 20th Century Fox and MGM, where studio executives and stars could meet, socialize, and conduct business. The Club offers a junior Olympic-size pool, 50 group exercise classes per week, a full gym, 10 tennis courts, a hair salon, massage services and monthly social events. BHCC continues its long history of entertaining celebrities and the community alike with great enthusiasm.
